Jerusalem/Beirut, Sep 29 (EFE).- Israel launched another airstrike Sunday on Hezbollah strongholds in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Israel has been intensely bombing Lebanon’s capital in recent days, particularly areas controlled by the Lebanese Shiite group.

On Friday, the leader of Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah and southern front commander Ali Karaki were killed in an Israeli bombing, in which more than 20 “terrorists” were also killed, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement.
On Sunday morning, Israel announced the death of another senior member of the Shiite group, Nabil Qaouk, who was hit the previous night in an attack on Dahye, a Hezbollah stronghold that has been subjected to almost daily Israeli bombardment over the past week.
Israeli armed forces also maintained their attacks on southern and eastern Lebanon throughout Sunday morning, according to a military statement.

“Over the last few hours, IDF fighter jets struck Hezbollah terror targets in Lebanon, including launchers directed toward Israeli territory, weapons storage facilities, and terrorist infrastructure sites,” the IDF said.
The armed forces said they were “continuing to operate to degrade and dismantle Hezbollah’s capabilities” in Lebanon.
Israel’s bombardments on Lebanon have left more than 1,000 dead and over a million displaced, the Lebanese Foreign Minister denounced Sunday in remarks reported by the Qatar channel Al Jazeera. EFE
