Rafael Nadal to retire after Davis Cup final in November

Madrid, Oct 10 (EFE).- Spain’s Rafael Nadal announced Thursday that he would retire from professional tennis after the Davis Cup final in November.

“I am here to let you know that I am retiring from professional tennis,” the player said in a video.

“I am very excited that my last tournament will be the Davis Cup final, representing my country. It’s closing the circle since one of my greatest joys as a professional tennis player was the final in Seville in 2004,” added the 22-time Grand Slam champion.

The Davis Cup tournament will be played in Malaga between Nov. 19 to 24. EFE
