Gaza/Jerusalem, Nov 1 (EFE).- At least 47 people, including a 40-day-old baby, were killed late Thursday in repeated Israeli strikes on the city of Deir al-Balah, the Nuseirat refugee camp and the town of Al Zawaida in central Gaza.
In Nuseirat alone, at least 21 people died, including five children and seven women, after the Israeli air force attacked several homes, including those with displaced people, medical sources told EFE.
After witnesses had rushed to help those affected in the strikes, the Israeli forces attacked again, causing more casualties, official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported.

Search and rescue operations to locate missing people under the rubble are underway.
Medical sources reported that the bodies of the victims were transferred to the Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, where at least two other displaced people died in the bombing of a house in the Al-Hadba neighborhood, according to local sources.
The Israeli military said on Friday that it had carried out airstrikes the previous day on more than 200 targets of Palestinian Islamist group Hamas in Gaza and Shiite group Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, including command and control centers, launchers and other infrastructure.
The Israeli forces also reported the elimination of several armed terrorists operating in the area, without giving further details.
In Jabalia in northern Gaza, which is under a military siege and where the entry of food has been practically nonexistent for almost a month, troops killed dozens of militants in airstrikes and selective raids on military structures, according to the Israeli military.
On Thursday night, Israel bombed a four-storey building in the Jabalia camp sheltering more than 120 people, Palestinian sources said.

However, the area remains inaccessible to rescue teams due to the military siege.
In the besieged northern Gaza alone – which also includes Beit Lahia and Beit Hanoun – at least 75 people were killed on Thursday and over 1,000 have died since the start of Israel’s military ground offensive in early October.
Since October 2023, when war broke out between Israel and Hamas, more than 43,200 people in Gaza have been killed, mostly women and children, and more than 101,600 wounded. EFE
