Jerusalem, Mar 19 (EFE).- Thousands of Israelis demonstrated in Jerusalem on Wednesday against the resumption of bombings in Gaza, where there are still 59 hostages, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan to fire the head of the Shin Bet – the internal intelligence service—Ronen Bar.

The protesters arrived in Jerusalem after a march of almost an hour and a half, called by the pro-democracy Black Flag movement, which started with blockades on the highway that connects the city to Tel Aviv, according to local media reports.
Protesters marched to the Knesset (the Israeli parliament), where thousands gathered holding Israeli flags and placards calling for political reform, securing the release of the remaining hostages and expressing criticism of Netanyahu.
Opposition leader Yair Lapid also took part in the demonstrations, and in a video message called on the people to come out on the streets in support of the hostages and pressurize the government. EFE
