Comic-Con Málaga brings Hollywood stars to fans for 90 euros, photos, and autographs

Málaga, Spain (EFE).- Fans lined up for hours under the sun on Thursday as some of the biggest names at the first-ever Comic-Con Málaga, including Aaron Paul, Dafne Keen, and Luke Evans, greeted their admirers with autographs and photo sessions priced at up to 90.75 euros.

It marks the first time the world’s most recognized comic and fantasy convention is being held outside the United States.

The “Meet the Artist” zone quickly became the hotspot of the event, drawing long queues as stars arrived in shifts.

Spanish and international actors such as Natalia Dyer, Taz Skylar, and Pedro Alonso also participated.

Advance bookings had already sold out for some celebrities, with autograph prices starting at 66.50 euros and photo sessions reaching 90.75 euros.

In the case of Aaron Paul, fans received both a photo and an autograph for the top-tier ticket.

The biggest success of the opening days was Aaron Paul, best known for his Emmy-winning role as Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad. His slots sold out days before the event.

Close behind was Dafne Keen, the Spanish-British actress who played Laura (X-23), Wolverine’s daughter, in Logan. Keen’s popularity drew large crowds eager for a signed photo.

“Meeting her was worth every cent. I’ve admired her since Logan,” said Andrea, a 22-year-old fan from Seville.

While not fully sold out, other stars also attracted enthusiastic audiences. Taz Skylar, who portrays Sanji in Netflix’s live-action One Piece, signed memorabilia for young fans of the franchise.

Luke Evans, the Welsh actor from The Hobbit and Beauty and the Beast, was greeted with loud cheers upon arrival.

Natalia Dyer, best known as Nancy Wheeler in Stranger Things, also drew a large following, as did Spanish actor Pedro Alonso, who rose to international fame playing Berlin in Money Heist (La Casa de Papel).

For many attendees, Comic-Con Málaga is a milestone. “This is history. Finally, we don’t need to fly to San Diego or New York to meet our heroes,” said Javier, a fan from Madrid. EFE
