Sports Desk, Oct 6 (EFE).- Manchester United and Aston Villa played out a goalless draw at Villa Park on Sunday.
The point was a welcome boost for United manager Erik Ten Hag, who has been the subject of increasingly intense media scrutiny after a lackluster start to the campaign.

United have now earned two tough away draws – the first coming against Porto in the Europa League on Thursday – since being hammered 3-0 at home by Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.
The closest either side came in a rather mediocre match was when Bruno Fernandes smacked a dipping freekick against the crossbar.

Aston Villa will be disappointed not to have been able to trouble United more, with Youri Tielemans’ drive that was saved by Andre Onana the best chance the home team had to break the deadlock.
The draw leaves United in 14th, while Villa are in fifth. EFE
