Brussels, Mar 6 (EFE).- Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez will convene leaders of all parliamentary groups, except Vox, next week for an in-person meeting to discuss European security, the war in Ukraine, and peace efforts.
Speaking at the European Council summit in Brussels, Sánchez stressed the need for consensus on Europe’s challenges.
He confirmed that on Thursday, he will personally call opposition leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo and other party heads to arrange the talks.

The extraordinary European Council meeting in Brussels is focused on European security and steps toward peace in Ukraine.
Sánchez recalled that at the end of March, he will appear before Congress to address the issue and report on his recent international meetings.
Given the current situation and the need for European consensus, he believes it is necessary to convene parliamentary group leaders next week to exchange views on Europe’s challenges.

He announced that next Thursday he will call opposition leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo and other parliamentary leaders, except Vox, to arrange an in-person meeting.
“Vox will not be part of the equation because we are very clear about their position,” he emphasized.
Asked whether the discussions would be held by phone or in person, he confirmed they would be in person. EFE
