Guardiola signals possible departures at Manchester City

London, Aug 23 (EFE).- Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has suggested that several players could leave the club before the transfer window closes, as the squad undergoes late-summer adjustments.

Guardiola signaled the departure of Ederson Moraes, Ilkay Gündogan and Manuel Akanji.

The Brazilian goalkeeper, who missed the league opener against Wolverhampton Wanderers, was again left on the bench, with James Trafford, praised for his standout display against Wolves, starting in the match against Tottenham Hotspur.

Meanwhile, Gündogan and Akanji were excluded from the squad entirely, as they await clarity on their futures in the final week of the market.

City has spent around 180 million euros this summer while generating 58 million euros from the sales of James McAtee, Yan Couto and Máximo Perrone, and cutting wage costs by offloading Kevin De Bruyne, Jack Grealish and Kyle Walker. EFE
