Jerusalem, Oct 9 (EFE).\u2013 Israeli forces shot dead a Palestinian man during a raid in the occupied West Bank, bringing the Palestinian death toll to nearly 400 in 2024, most during Israeli military operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The man was killed on Tuesday night in the city of Aqaba, located in the Tubas governorate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Medical sources identified the deceased as 37-year-old Abdul Raouf Hamed al Masry, who was shot after Israeli special forces besieged his home during a night raid, according to the Palestinian Wafa news agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This brings the total number of Palestinians killed in the West Bank in 2024 to 390, based on an EFE count using health data.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Tulkarem governorate has reported 114 deaths, while the Jenin governorate has seen 105 fatalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both regions, in the north of the West Bank, are major centers of armed resistance against Israeli occupation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At least 35 Palestinians have died in Tubas governorate since January, according to an EFE tally.<\/p>\n\n\n

In the early hours of Tuesday, following the first wave of nighttime raids, Israeli soldiers arrested at least 30 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. These operations often lead to clashes with local residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the latest figures from Adamer, the Palestinian Association for Prisoners Support and Human Rights, there are 9,900 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails and detention centers, including 240 children and 87 women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than 3,300 of them are being held in \u201cadministrative detention\u201d without charge or trial. EFE <\/p>\n\n\n\n
