Los Angeles, Nov 2 (EFE).\u2013 American actor Harrison Ford voiced his support for Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, stating that the United States needs a leader who \u201cwill work for all of us again.\u201d<\/p>
In a series of videos released in collaboration with the Harris-Walz campaign, Ford made public his choice to vote for the Democratic candidate in the US presidential election, citing statements made by former officials from Donald Trump\u2019s administration who have criticized the Republican candidate.<\/p>
\u201cI am Harrison Ford. I have got one vote, same as anyone else, and I am going to use it to move forward. I am going to vote for Kamala Harris,\u201d Ford said in a video recorded for the Harris-Walz campaign.<\/p>
He praised Harris for believing in the \u201crule of law\u201d and slammed Trump for \u201cembracing dictators and tyrants around the world.\u201d<\/p>
\u201cYou have to pay attention,\u201d Ford said.<\/p>
\u201cThey are telling us something important. These are not soft people. They are governors, generals standing up against the leader of the party. They spent their lives advocating for many of them. This will be the first time they have ever voted for someone who does not have an R next to their name, because they know this really matters.\u201d<\/p>
He said the Trump on the other hand \u201cdemands unquestioning loyalty\u201d and wanted \u201crevenge.\u201d<\/p>
In a video released by Rolling Stone on Saturday, Ford pointed out that while he doesn’t agree with every policy of the Democratic ticket, he believes they would, if elected, govern inclusively for all Americans.<\/p>
\u201cThese two candidates respect the rule of law,\u201d he said in the video. \u201cThey believe we are all in this together. Those are values I can support. They\u2019re people I can stand behind.\u201d<\/p>
The actor, who previously endorsed President Biden in 2020, voiced his dissatisfaction with \u201ca lot of things\u201d in the US but stressed the importance of unity.<\/p>
\u201cI am frustrated with plenty in this country,\u201d he said. <\/p>
\u201cI am sure you are too. But the other guy, he spent four years turning us against each other while embracing dictators and tyrants around the world. That\u2019s not who we are. We don\u2019t need to make America great again. Come on. We are great, but we need is to work together again. All we need is a president who works for all of us, and again.\u201d <\/p>
