Jerusalem, Mar 7 (EFE).- Around 90,000 Muslim worshippers gathered for congregational prayers at al-Aqsa Mosque, Islam\u2019s third holiest site, on the first Friday of Ramadan, despite Israeli restrictions limiting Palestinian access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jordanian Waqf, which administers the mosque compound, confirmed the attendance figures, as reported by the official Palestinian news agency, Wafa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Israeli authorities had announced restrictions the night before, barring Palestinians from the occupied West Bank aged 12 to 55 (50 for women) from entering the site during Ramadan\u2019s Friday prayers.<\/p>\n\n\n
