Seoul, Mar 17 (EFE).- J-Hope, a member of the popular K-pop boy band BTS, will release his new single, “Mona Lisa,” on Mar. 21, his management agency, BigHit Music, announced Monday.<\/p>
The song, which will be available starting at 1 pm on Friday, compares a love interest to Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting.<\/p>
Through this song, which combines hip-hop with R&B, J-Hope expresses that the charm that truly moves the heart is each person’s uniqueness, not their external beauty.<\/p>
The singer-rapper, who contributed to writing the song, will drop a new version of “Sweet Dreams,” which he released on Mar. 7, at 1 pm on Tuesday. <\/p>
This version, arranged by Australian music production duo FNZ, blends funky rhythms with a bass sound and soulful piano performances, the agency said.<\/p>
J-Hope will also headline the Lollapalooza music festival in Berlin in July.<\/p>
Before his Berlin performance, the artist will kick off his solo world tour with three concerts at the KSPO Dome in Seoul and will visit a total of 15 cities, including New York City and Chicago in the US, Mexico City, Manila, in the Philippines, and Saitama, in Japan.<\/p>
J-Hope, whose real name is Jung Ho-seok, completed his 18-month mandatory military service in South Korea in October. <\/p>
He becomes the second member of the group to do so, after Jin, before the band – also composed of Suga, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook – reunites in 2025.<\/p>
Both Jin and J-Hope are expected to focus on their solo careers until the group’s official return.<\/p>
In 2022, BTS announced that it would be taking a hiatus until at least 2025, a period its seven members have been using to focus on personal projects and perform their military service. EFE<\/p>
