Jerusalem, June 16 (EFE).\u2013 Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared Monday that Israel was \u201con the path to achieving victory\u201d over Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During a visit to the Tel Nof air base in central Israel, he praised the country\u2019s armed forces for their role in the ongoing military campaign, saying \u201cmany in the world salute you and admire you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are on the path to achieving victory, and this was achieved thanks to our heroic pilots, our wonderful ground crews, who are also doing an amazing job,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Netanyahu asserted that Israel is advancing toward two key strategic objectives: eliminating both the nuclear and missile threats posed by Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBy controlling the skies over Tehran, we are achieving these goals\u2014unlike the criminal regime in Iran, which attacks our civilians and seeks to kill our women and children,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWith God\u2019s help, we will triumph, and we will continue until victory is achieved,\u201d the prime minister said.<\/p>\n\n\n

Defense Minister Israel Katz, who accompanied Netanyahu on the visit, emphasized that the government’s faith in the Israeli Air Force played a decisive role in approving the assault.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNow we see the results in the skies above Tehran, and we know we made the right decision. All of Israel supports you and says: thank you, and keep going,\u201d Katz said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Israel began bombing Iranian territory early Friday, citing growing concerns over Iran\u2019s nuclear advancements and the threat posed by its ballistic missile program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since then, Israeli airstrikes have targeted Iranian military infrastructure, including air defense systems and missile storage facilities, as well as nuclear facilities in Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow.<\/p>\n\n\n

Israeli forces have also struck senior Revolutionary Guard officials and nuclear scientists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In retaliation, Iran launched hundreds of ballistic missiles at Israeli territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Israeli authorities report that at least 24 people have been killed in the attacks, with multiple areas hit across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iranian health officials have confirmed at least 224 deaths, most of them civilians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the dead are 17 senior military officers, including nine members of the Revolutionary Guard, and more than a dozen nuclear scientists. EFE<\/p>\n\n\n\n
