Tehran, June 17 (EFE).- Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed on Tuesday that it struck a Mossad operations center and a military intelligence headquarters in Tel Aviv during a new wave of missile attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The IRGC Aerospace Force, in a high-impact operation, struck the military intelligence center of the Zionist regime\u2019s army, known as Aman, and the center for planning acts of terror and malicious operations of the Zionist regime (Mossad) in Tel Aviv,\u201d the IRGC said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The statement, published by Iran’s official IRNA news agency, said the Israeli facilities were hit despite the presence of \u201chighly advanced air defense systems,\u201d and were engulfed in flames.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Iran\u2019s defense ministry said a \u201cnew missile\u201d was used in the morning attack, which reportedly evaded Israeli defense system detection prior to impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Iranian Ground Forces Commander Kioumars Heidari warned of further escalation, stating that attacks on Israel\u2019s \u201cstrategic positions\u201d would intensify in the coming hours with \u201cnew weapons.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said a \u201cmassive attack\u201d involving drones equipped with advanced munitions was already underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Israel launched a large-scale offensive on Friday, targeting Iranian military facilities, senior military officials, nuclear infrastructure, and residential areas across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over five days, Israeli forces have repeatedly struck Tehran, hitting an airport, state TV headquarters, military zones, and residential neighborhoods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Israeli airstrikes have reportedly focused on air defense systems, ballistic missile depots, and ammunition production centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Iranian health officials, these strikes have killed around 250 people and injured 1,800, most of them reportedly civilians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In response, Iran has launched several waves of missile and drone attacks on Israel, killing 24 people and injuring 647, according to Israel\u2019s national emergency service, Magen David Adom. EFE <\/p>\n\n\n\n
