\u200bJerusalem, 13 Sep (EFE). \u2013 The Israeli army raided the home of Oscar-winning Palestinian filmmaker Basel Adra on Saturday after settlers attacked his village in the occupied West Bank, Yuval Abraham, \u201cNo Other Land\u201d co-director, told EFE.<\/p>
\u200b”I’m very afraid for Basel right now. What happens is that settlers attack Palestinian villages and then soldiers come and attack Palestinians,” said Abraham, adding that some of Adra’s family members had been beaten by settlers. <\/p>
The Red Crescent confirmed in a statement that they had treated three Palestinians, who were wounded during the settler attack. Two of them were transferred to a hospital.<\/p>
According to Abraham, soldiers raided his home in Al Tuwani, Masafer Yatta, searching for Adra, who is currently missing. <\/p>
When asked by EFE, the Israeli army declined to comment on the matter.<\/p>
On Jul. 28, activist and collaborator in the film Odeh Hadalin was shot and killed by a settler in Masafer Yatta in one of these attacks. <\/p>
The settler, Yinon Levi, had been sanctioned by the EU and the US in 2024 for repeatedly carrying out violent attacks against Palestinians.<\/p>
Since the start of the military offensive against Gaza in October 2023, violent settler attacks in the occupied West Bank have skyrocketed, including in Masafer Yatta, the cluster of Palestinian villages featured in \u201cNo Other Land.\u201d<\/p>
Filmed between 2019 and 2023, the documentary shows the Israeli army demolishing homes, schools, water wells, and roads, and forcibly expelling Palestinians from Basel Adra. EFE<\/p>
