Moscow, Dec 27 (EFE).- Russia\u2019s foreign minister gave Kyiv an ultimatum: meet Moscow’s demands or else they will be taken care of by Russian forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minister Sergei Lavrov told Russian state-owned agency TASS late on Monday that there was \u201clittle left to do\u201d and Kyiv should comply with Moscow’s claims \u201cin an amicable way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added: \u201cOtherwise, the Russian Army will deal with this issue.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lavrov said Kyiv was \u201cwell aware\u201d of the Kremlin’s terms to end the conflict, which include accepting Russia\u2019s annexation of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions, partially occupied by its army. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As for how long the conflict is to continue, Lavrov said that \u201cthe ball is on the court\u2019s side of the (Kyiv) regime and Washington, which stands behind it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0\u201cThey can put an end at any time to this senseless resistance,” he added.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lavrov\u2019s comments were made one day after Russian president Vladimir Putin claimed he was open to peace talks with Ukraine and accused Kyiv of refusing to negotiate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt’s not us who refuse talks, it’s them,” said Putin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kyiv has stated that it will not sit at the negotiating tables until Russia withdraws from all of its territory, including the Crimean peninsula. EFE<\/p>\n\n\n\n
