EFE-EPA\/SAMIULLAH POPAL<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"media-content-img\" style=\"margin-bottom: 20px\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe statements from the human rights organizations couldn\u2019t change anything\u2026We expect a practical step from the international community to at least help us in terms of recovering our basic human rights,\u201d Basira Hussani, a social activist, told EFE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hussani described as \u201cempty,\u201d the repeated statements issued by organizations such as the United Nations, which, she said, condemn the actions of the Taliban without taking practical measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the UN is not giving up, Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said at a recent conference on the status of women in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn Afghanistan, women and girls are erased from public life\u2026we will never give up fighting for the rights of women and girls in Afghanistan and elsewhere around the world,\u201d he said.
